Memphis Harp Ensemble

The Memphis Harp Ensemble was established in 2005 and continues to evolve.  We have our core group of harpists plus a variety of “support” instruments,   including psaltery, violin, Irish flute, whistle, flute, bodhran and guitar.

As a group we have diverse backgrounds:  a shepherdess, an international champion auctioneer, social workers, teachers, church musicians, and a puppet maker.  Together we share our love of the harp, our love of music and our desire to bring joy to others.

We like to mix it up and enjoy playing all kinds of music including traditional, Celtic, classical and contemporary music.

You can find us performing biweekly at Dan McGuinness Pub.  We are on the roster of Creative Aging of the Mid-South.  Most recently we have been heard at Border’s Book Store, Benjamin L. Hooks Public Library and in a variety of venues including weddings, receptions and themed programs.
